PUN-ishment is a Comedy Adventure RPG, first of its kind in fact. You must win over all of the townspeople using everything you can; Money, humor or a variety of items at your disposable. The term "comedy adventure" implies that most of the interaction will revolve around how the player interacts with NPC's and the world itself.

The social aspect would be similar to a game like animal crossing, there are towns folk with actual homes and lives that they carry out. The player has the ability to influence the world through various methods of interaction. This could be something simple like singing to please someone to something more sinister like bribing. With this in mind you might have picked up that the game is literally about puns. Comedy is a main pillar of the gameplay and it really helps to keep conversation light and funny.
